Desaru Golden Beach Resort Chalet, sounds nice eh? But the truth is, its not. My heart was excited when i heard the name of the place, thinking it was gonna be a super good chalet, but in the end, in the end ah, it was some rundown piece of land with monkeys, ants and grasshopers. RUSTY TOILET!
Honestly, before having the session for the camp, the place spoilt my whole mood to do anything for that 4 days. But after listening attentively to pastor's sermons, its changed my mindset, totally. I really love the worship, despite the small hall. The worship was better than Oasis' concert, i believe so.
The purpose of attending youth camp is not just having fun out there with other people, but reaching out to what God has installed for us. The message on Purity, standards and convictions, was truly for me. As i stand out there on the altar, crying out to God, asking for forgiveness for all those stupid thinkings and actions i made in life before. I came to realisation of many things. My earring, some other youths told me that it was not good on me, asking me to take it out. I was deciding to take it out after youth camp, but failed in my mind. At the altar, i was convicted by God, " take it out right now". I was rebellious, i did not listen. But God was prepared, sending Grace to talk to me, which ON THE SPOT, i took it out. Other things like poor relationships within friends and family will be improved, in Jesus name.
Even though we dont see changes soon, it must be God's plan, we will see it someday and come to a complete understanding about what God is going to do upon our lives, making a commitment to throw your old self away, and be a change person for the better. =)
