river

When you look up at the night skies, the stars, the moon, decorated the surface. Beyond that is nothing but dark outer space. As the night's breeze swept pass, does it make you wonder how many people shared this breeze with you? You close your eyes, trying to catch a slight sound but all you could hear is the rustling of the trees dancing in the wind. Looking back up at the sky, can you imaging God is up there looking down upon us? His hand over the skies, protecting something.

In a night like this, it makes me wonder, how small we are. We are like a single drop of water in a basin. But God still singled out every drop of water and make them special in their own way, for every drop matters. One drop is small, however, more drops make a cup, even more drops make a puddle.

To say 'It doesn't matter if I'm alive or not! It doesn't make any difference!', is somehow unfair. He treated everyone of us specially but some still treated themselves insignificantly. When one is taken out, nothing will stay the same anymore. Some may think they did not contribute much to the group but a small giggle, a 'yeah!', a wave of hands, or even being there, is already a great contribution.

If God sees each and everyone of us as important, we should do the same. No one is insignificant to begin with. Young and old, decent and unglamorous, quiet and chatty ones, include all of them into our puddle!

One day, let it become a river that flows.
