t

Strolling pass ruins and massive structures of passed age, looking out for any hint of human presence. All was found were well kept stone statues of great people that were once living. One statue had a name of Marco.P and another had Stanford.R. Magnificent explorers that sailed the seas! There was even Qian Long and Kang Xi! Ancient Chinese kings! All was recognized but one. The statue covered by the bushes, overgrown with moss and weed. The face was hidden behind the overgrowing vines that spread throughout. Cracks covered the faded name plate. It was hard but was able to make out J.Chris. Who is J.Chris? John Christopher? Who? Why was his statue forgotten by everyone and left here to decay but still included amongst all the statues of great mens? There was a hole after the letter s. Like something was suppose to be nailed there.

A sound! There was a sound from a ruin close by! Running to the direction of the ruin, the sound suddenly stopped. A stone tablet estimating 5 feet high stood at the doorway of the ruin. Words carved right into the body of it.

A lost trumpet sounding from the far horizon.
Reminding hearts about the great work done.

The love that could fall down like rain.
Washing the veil off the covered eyes.

Did the world make you forget the t?
Do you remember the man on the t?

Forget the t? What is this t? As the rest of the letters were curved into the tablet, the t wasn't. It was nailed onto it. It was shaped more like a cross than a t. At the foot of the tablet, there was another t laying on the grass and a nail beside it. It looks like it belonged to the dirty broken statue. But where? Who was he?

What was forgotten?

SUMMIT

The summit I see
Seems so difficult to be.
That imposing sight to behold,
Left my heart out in the cold.
The odds are against me, no one expected any better,
Yet I want to fight this final battle.
High and mighty, It shone,
Step by step I still pressed on.
Last step reached,
Final barrier breached.
The sun rose above the dark,
Over the summit I’ve conquered in my heart.

Jack the fish

The little fish, Jack, lived his life in comfort. He stays in a small ring of rocks and sea urchans where the water is warm all year round and everything he ever wanted was there! He has great friends that shares many common interest! They always hung out and do fishy stuff together. For a long time Jack has been living in contentment with his group of closely nit friends. But at the same time, he noticed other fishes outside of the small ring he is living in! They were moody, scary and unhappy looking fishes!

One day, when Jack was out swimming with his buddies, something outside the small ring caught his attention. A big red crab was hunting down the fishes! From far, the crab's eyes looked like horns sticking out the head!

In jack's little fish heart, a voice boomed "Get out and help them Jack!"
He was taken aback by the voice and began to argue with it.

Jack: "They are scary fishes!!!"
But are they as scary as that crab out there?
Jack: "They may not like me!!!"
But they sure would like you more than that crab out there!
Jack: "I am scared! The waters out there are cold!"
But they have been living out there for so long and they aren't frozen!
Come on, flip your fins and take the first flip! Swim out there and reach them!
Jack: "I am comfortable here! When they come in things will change!!!"
But think about it, what is more important? Their lives? Your comfort?
Sometimes, you have to swim out of your zone of comfort to save a fish.

And with a shout, Jack swam out of the small ring with full speed without another thought into the cold and unfamiliar water. His friends stared with mouth wide open as Jack approached the mean looking fishes one after another! Some of the fishes pushed him away and showed him mean looks and pointed their middle fins at him but he did not yield! He carried on spreading the good news, telling them about the small ring he was living in and how good it is, free from the big red crab!

Due the Jack's courage, fishes started to come into the ring! After sometime, they had to expand the ring to include more fishes! After seeing Jack's brave "Die hard" action, his buddies began to swim out and reach even more fishes! Every fish in the ring rejoice as more fishes started gathering! After knowing them, the fishes did not seem mean at all!

The big red cab slammed its claws with anger on the ground as he know one crab is impossible to go against millions of fishes gathered together as one. He was defeated.

Till this day, Jack and the fishes are still reaching out to fishes not saved from the crab's reach.

All it took was one fish to make the first little swim out of the zone.

Broken

I head outwards of the jetty, to the darkened evening and the deafening surf. Memories mixed with emotions swirl and crash onto me, weakening and tearing. Is my life doomed to be broken down by life’s dark waves? “You must be stupid or something!” my thoughts rage at me as I give up my rights. What I deserve, I surrender. In fact surrendering isn’t just the raising of the white flag. It involves a restraint not to fight even when one knows there would be instant victory. It involves not leaving even if other bright avenues beckon. It involves letting yourself getting bruised and battered by people who profess to be helping you, without retaliating.

Scared and hurt with tears no one sees except my father, I stare out to the black ocean. How easy it is to end it all. What fool would take this path that begets no profits? The crashing sound of the waves hurl on to the rocks. Depression embraces me tightly as the arms of my thoughts reach out warmly to him. How useless and unworthy I am, what good is it of me to make empty promises and commitments? Like a brittle glass piece, I crack at the slightest of temptation and pressure. Weak! Useless! Give Up! I fall down.

My body prostrates, surrendering to my Father as I desperately attempt to escape from the darkness around. A small hole appears in the darkness, a ray of light enters shining on me. Tears fall with each drop carrying away the memories of misperceptions, hurt, betrayal, backstab and vicious words. Bit by bit, drop by drop. An exchange has occurred. Where there was once the dead weight of gloom, there now is the lightness of grace, love and forgiveness. Peace reigns within as my turmoil is washed away. “Not my will be done, but yours be done Father,” I repeat my commitment once again as my strength is slowly rejuvenated.

The potter has chosen to rework His piece. Unsatisfied with the current work, He smashes it to the ground. The piece is broken and destroyed unable to serve its function. The potter picks up the broken bits and fashions it again. He has made a new piece, one more resilient, valuable and useful compared to the previous piece. He smiles. Dusk gives way to the dark night while the waves continue to crash on to the rocks. The deafening sounds are ever present. I stand up and walk away from the ocean and head towards the shore, stepping back on solid ground.
