HOW TO STAY YOUNG
1. Throw out nonessential numbers.

3. Keep learning:
Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever.
Never let the brain get idle.
"An idle mind is the devil's workshop."
And the devil's name is Alzheimer's!

4. Enjoy the simple things

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.
And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time
with him or her!

6. The tears happen:
Endure, grieve, and move on.
The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourself. (erm not really true)
LIVE while you are alive.

7 Surround yourself with what you love:
Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever.
Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health:
If it is good, preserve it.
If it is unstable, improve it.
If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips.
Take a trip to the mall, even to a foreign country, but NOT to where the
guilt is

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

HOWEVER, last but not least...ALWAYS have GOD put in the first place...let Him be the first to be thought of in ANY situation you face...

BrotherSoh, SisterSoh, and I went to visit,
my new born baby cousin, Preston (I named himm leehh :D :D ) today.
He's still not very well.
You see, Preston is suffering from some major heart problems. The main arteries doesnt seem to be working and the blood is unable to circulate his entire body.
My Parents and Relatives are counting on BrotherSoh and I, to pray.
I believe this could be a start of something new.
This could even be the starting point to lead them into salvation,
and to prove o them, how great is our God.
We held hands, and laid hands on the baby.
BrotherSoh lead a prayer, and Uncle(Preston's Dad) repeated it.
I believe that God can make miracles, and that he'll be able to heal BabyPreston(:
Baby Preston is gna undergo another surgery tomorrow.
And I'll be waking up early to go vist and pray for him.

Hello people, I'm kinda stoned so i thought I blog a little while i take a break for my homework. Alone in the room now, eyes half open and fingers twitching, sister went to sleep after studying and I'm pretty gone. S-L-E-E-P-Y. Well, Colin is leaving for NationService tomorrow and yea, pretty soon I'll be next. But till then, I have peace in my heart as I believe God will protect Colin in the army. Hurray for Papa Jesus!

It seems Gary is pleased with our celebration today. I enjoyed the idea of hanging out with the youths on weekdays. Seriously, weekdays suck. And I want bubble tea. Maybe I could like go to Bishan tomorrow or something. Sit in the playground with bubble tea will be nice. I think its kinda cool but then again. Maybe not.

Praise Jesus!!

I have been falling sick recently due to the hateful haze and was buried in the mountian of deadlines the past week. I was feeling a little grouchy and discouraged because I could not do what I wanted to do- shopping, meeting up with my friends for a chat... Like all my time is tied behind this Powerbook, typing away reports and presentations, replying countless emails. Sometimes I feel like just running away and give myself a break.

But I realised that I need not run away.

Because God gives me the peace in the midst of my trials, and goes before me to defeat all my enemies. I never really claim it for myself. *silly me.. only know how to encourage others but not myself! that is so wrong!!*

Will I still praise thee in the midst of my weakness, my trials?

Wow.. thats hard. It calls for serious faith.. Haha.. actually not.. it is either serious faith or serious desperation. I remembered during my A levels, things were so tough-- I have no choice.. NO choice (not that i have faith!) but to praise the LORD. because the bible says so. because GOD says so. Out of desperation i just praise the Lord for the mess I am in, and told God that it is his problem now. haha.. smart move (Jocelyn; 1, Satan:0). I dunno how things evolved but the Lord just took care of all my problems. All HE told me was: "I will use these trials that you go thru for my glory."

Isnt God great? Not only will he solve all my problems but also used what I have gone through for his glory? WOW.... *I love JESUS!!*

So my dear brothers and sisters,
whenever you feeel discouraged or burderned... PRAISE THE LORD! a wonderful solution to monday,tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday saturaday, sunday blues..... and smile! Because my Jesus is taking pictures of you to put in his blog!!

I am truly touched... You have no idea how long i had to think before i can type this out... My lessons were kinda boring, i suppose... I'm an intellectual... thats why!!! haha... As I say time and time again, when i look at you guys, i really do feel old... I've practically seen this region grow up... From the time even before u guys were the youth ministry... I remember sharmaine and all, at the CW, with the net leaders coming in to mix with u guys so that u guys would join the youths... I remember Gladys being the only gal in my group and we almost had her transfer to angie's , well, my net rawks!!! I remember Gladys' like like like like this lor... Like like like that lor... haha... I remember how u thought i was like 30 plus years old...
I remember that time i made Shawn real late for net coz i wanted him to get a cake... I remember the days that I used to cook for my net peeps, my maggi mee ROCKS right? I AM THE MASTER OF MAGGI MEE!!!

Yes tuck, i remember we used to go play pool like no need marrnee one, and u never had any money to play anyway... I play golf remember? haha... Juz play until even I get tired... You still got my cue... And we forever will not need to give each other presents for birthdays!!! haha... What a coincidence...

Remember that time we played captain's ball in the tournament? We owned man!! haha... Remember the edge games? one of the first corporate edge activities? Me and Justin had to eat dog food?

I remember the time when nic came to church(Nic, insert your testimony here), Gary and his ah pui!!! (Gary, insert your STORY here) ;)

Guys... I must say, you bunch are the noisiest bunch of youths i have come across... And i have been with a LOT of bunches... In the past, i thought that youth bus was loud... How mistaken I was...

Tuck, I have known u for i think 7 yrs... Fast ah... I have known Darren Wong for like 8 yrs liaoz...

I honestly do not know exactly how many lives i have impacted and all, but I guess its second nature for me... Angie, if u are reading this, remember a long time ago when we sat down at some coffeeshop and we were saying, I wonder how the youths of the next generation will be like, well... I say we got quite a good bunch here... And we used to run with a motto like, I want to be remembered for how much of an impact i want to be to as many people as possible? I guess we have made our mark, for now...

Shawn... You were the object of my prayers for a long time... I didn't know why you left church, under my net, under my watch. It really really tore me apart. I wanted my net to be a place where people get in, not out. You were part of my frustrations against God at that time... I was like, GOD, why did You let that happen?

Guys... I've seen alot of things around, seen people come and go, seen an entire generation of youths almost fully gone out... You guys... please stick together. Cling on to each other. Support each other. Share with each other. Love each other. Be with each other. Empower each other. Admonish each other. Scold each other. Enjoy each other. Identify with each other. I was kinda inspired by TuckWah's thoughtful post and I thought I would write one myself. As for Colin, he truly is a great man of God. But *ahem* firstly, goodness, real happy you slapped yourself in the face and return to our one and only Papa Jesus!!! It was truly a great step of faith you took to return to the church. Jesus and the family missed you tons! Colin was my net leader and I would never forget the funny net sessions at my house where we would complain his lessons are boring.. etc. Hahah, but I still love you Colin! But seriously dude, I just realized you haven't changed your hairstyle since like... forever (your skinhead thing didn't cound cause I didn't see).

Colin is a man of courage, and his strength is all derived from the great guy above, Jesus. With God's grace and strength, Colin, you conquered so many hardships in your life and turned many other lives around. So I believe, with the same God, and with His same grace and strength, you can conquer everything (even 100 push-ups, creaky beds and sucky food)! Since we are all one Region D family, just remember we will be supporting you in our thoughts and prayers. And whenever we play 'Wacko', we will remember you as the guy who hits the hardest and scariest. :l Whoooole life hit hard.

Hey guys, The ever-exciting annual youth camp is coming up once again. This time, we are leaving not-so-fun S'pore and heading to Desaru, Malaysia. It is about a 2 hour bus ride from S'pore. Here are the details:

Date: 11- 14th Dec (Mon-Fri)
Venue: Desaru, Malaysia
Price: $145 (deposit $50 upon initial signup)
Rooming: 4 people to a room

Sign up starts this coming sunday!

I am sure all u peeps out there are eager and dying to sign up. But hold your horses, there are a few things u need before signing up. You will need to fill up your standard particulars. You can obtain the forms this sunday. There will also be an indemnity form for your parents to sign (only needed for the 18 yrs and below). You also need to photocopy the cover of your passport (not the page with the majulah singapura and the s'pore crest... unless you are a goon... haha) but the other side of it where you have your beautiful photo and your particulars. Oh yah, one more thing, please make sure that your passport has at least validity which means any passport which expires on June 2007 and earlier will not be accepted. You can approach Jocelyn or me if you have any queries. Take care ppl. Love ya'll loads.

Hey guys, this is gonna be an emo post, so, bear with me, but i promise there'll be something that you guys would probably be pleased to read, i hope.
I had a REALLY LONG talk with Gary last night. Never knew how much of an impact i had on him.And i must say, Gary has the perfect way to quit smoking. I have no urge to smoke so far.
Never knew how much of an impact i had on people. An old friend whom i brought to Christ called me today. He said he was calling to appreciate the steps and risks that i undertook when i led him to Christ. I was almost in tears as he spoke.
How did it all happen. How did i backslide, knowing all that i know. How could I.
Dosen't matter, time waits for no man. Looking ahead
This is a part, i believe a lot of you want to read.
I had a long time with God today. God met me. I repented before the Lord and I talked with Him. He reminded me of His love. How during the time i turned my back on Him, He would prod me and tug at my heartstrings, knowing that I would someday come back. He showed me images of my past. He revived dreams of my past, He revived convictions from my past. He reminded me of what He told me I would see come to pass. He reminded me of who I am in Him. I honestly say, I do not understand a father's heart. I only know of stories and all, but i do not understand the love of parents. I am not good at receiving love. I take and take and take because i feel like as if i do not know when someone will give again.
How did so much, happen on a day that i slept quite a lot? I don't even know myself. But its a Glorious day.
Guys, i have something specific to ask you guys for.

you may think after exams is damn fun but i tell you, its not. i have no internet on my computor and i have to use my sister = no warcraft, no music. surprisingly i slept till 11am, watching tv and eating.

i do not know what my emotions are. my results are pretty disapointing. maybe i did not do my best and all but still. ohwells. i get passes for my eoys but my midyr failures might pull everything down.

and the dumb haze is ____. fill in the blank yourself. i cannot sit by the window and think without getting affected by the haze anymore. holiday blues are really falling into place now. sad nut case of me typing whats-whats online and stoning. thank goodness for this blog. my blog is like almost dead with hardly any tags and vistors. ha. considering the entries are suck-y la. at least i come here to crap off some spare time.

I'm talking about tea... on the road!

Nono, I'm perfectly fine. Its tea on the road, my friend. Lets take it that I'm here trying to explain why in the world the tea is on the road in the first place.

It all began as a ordinary Monday afternoon. Birds sing in the trees, bees busy buzzing away, cats peeing on the lamppost and so on. I, The Almighty Eggimo, was on the bus. Listening to my favorate Jay Chou(He is da best if you guys didn't know.) songs with my very very old MP3.

A very tall and slim young man carrying a book with a hairstyle very similar to mine except his is covering the left eye and bleached, boarded the bus. Face decorated with ear piercings, lip piercing and right eye piercing. Wearing a ragged styled T-shirt, jeans and a very cool ring. "An ah beng... Ok firstly, do not have eye contact with him. Secondly, when I get off the bus, remember not to knock against him. Lastly, please do not sit beside me." Was my thoughts.

SADLY, he choose the seat that's beside mine. I kind of admit we looked like buddys with our hair. Maybe he mistook me as an ah beng. As much as I could, I tried avoiding turning my head to the left as he is there but as the journey dragged, I can't help it but notice him looking at me with the corner of his right eye which is not covered by his hair. With my left eye, i made eye contact. "Oh shit!" i said under my breath.

Upon the eye contact, his whole head made a sudden turn, facing me. Sweat broke out all over me with that sudden movement of his. "In the name of jesus, protect me. Especially my face and hair." i prayed inside.

"Err... hi." said the ah beng.

"HI?! DID I HEAR A HI!? DID HE JUST SAID HI!? SHOULDN'T HE BE LIKE 'OI STARE WAT STARE!' weirdo..." I exclaimed inside my head but replied with a confused "Hey!"

"Wat gang u in last time huh?" asked the ah beng. "I was from @!#$(censored due to certain reasons)"

"I...I...I... not from any gang. Was never in one, in fact."

"Issit? Orh ok lor. Err, dont be scared la. I now not in any gang. I am from church!" and he showed the book he carrying was actually a bible. "I at first thought u ah beng la, was trying to tell u to quit and share the bible with u but dont know how to start."

"Oh... That's good to hear. I really hope that more singaporean can follow your example." Smiled at him and continued, "Like evangelizing, which is what you are doing right now. Knowing what you are doing is wrong and is making amendments. Being so on for God. Reaching out to people that you specialise in and in your case, it would be ah bengs? Haha!"

"HHAHA! Of cos la! I was once in their shoes wat! And i think im the best at talking to ah bengs la hor. I talk to them, they wanna fight, i comfirm win them. If i dont talk to them bout the holy words, who will? right?" With hand guestures all over the place he said. "and i see you are also a christian hor? I address u as brother la! Im James."

"I'm Nicholas, from vfc."

"orh, i from The Rock. Now going to my friend house drink tea. like a gathering in small groups la."

"Wah... really? Cool leh!"

And with that, we talked for a while more. Things about our hair and stuff. I missed my stop because of that, so I wish him farewell and got off the next stop realising I forgot to ask for that cool guy's contact.

Well, it has almost been 10 years since I have known Jacky.. yea, for some of you, its not even half your lifetime..Well,,, tml is his official last day with the youth as he move on to the Men Net. SInce the first day i step in the youth, he is always this loud, guitar carrying big guy that I have known in the youth. His laughter is one of a kind which you can hear miles away and know that its HIS laughter. His prayer is also super power one.. can pray for super long.. hahaha.. as a young youth i always wonder how could one ever pray so so so long....hahaha.

He is so one guy that have kept his faith no matter wad. NO matter what event it may be, u know he will try his best to be there. Even if he is super late.. he will come. His obedience surprises me at time. I remember his sharing that his calling is touching China for Christ. Hey bro, if you read this, ...its your calling, dun ever lose it!!! Go! GO! Go!

Although he has transited out from the youth ministry, know that the youths will never forget you... at least I won't. Take care big brother...you will be in our prayers.. impact lives where ever you may be for Christ!
