I really enjoyed this season's Singapore idol. The finals was much more entertaining and less stressful - last year was ahbeng sly vs boh-bian taufik.

hello there my beloved D8-tist and D7-tist, yesyes, this is my very first post. can i hear some applause of encouragement please:: ) well, im happy for those whos prelims are over, but mine is not! no fair man. nehmind just another three days to go and i'l be FREE, for the time being. if you wna know how has my papers been, its just bad. i hardly studied for it and how can i ever expect to score? but IF i miraculously did well, it has to be God! we shall see. anyway, im just here to encourage and challenge each and everyone of you, whether are you having your crucial exams or not, to always choose to put God first. because if you honour Him, He is sure to honour you. this is what i have really learned through this exam period. although it is a little early to say since the results arent out yet but i sure have seen God working in my life tremendously as i continue to choose to come for services and for net. he has been dealing with aspects of my life this past few weeks and renewing my vision. however, i may not experience all this if i choose to skip services for revision. this may not apply to you but i have friends from other churches saying that they'd continue going for services only after exams. yes, exams are important as they determine your status in life in time to come, but isnt the word of God even more important, it is the bread of life. God has His timing for things to happen. and what if you miss that divine timing? will it come a second time? only He has the answers.

Your report book is not the passport to heaven and ACEs does not win you an entry through the gateways. it is the fruits of labour that God sees.

They did it again! They update their products straight after you buy one! I remember when i bought my iMac, two weeks later they came out one with the iSight (webcam). Seriously what is their problem!

Regional Youth Activity Upcoming: Children Home Visit!

Hey Guys..
Prelims is tough tough tough.. but i know that you guys will do great. I believe that the Lord will never short change his children!

We will be having a out regional activity coming up. We have yet to secure a Home yet, but if you have any Homes that you are currently in touch with please let me know. It will have to be within our region boundaries though. I hope to get a children's home.

The last time I visited a children's was when i was 16.. haha.. it seemed such a long time ago. It was my lifegroup's outreach where we visited a halfway house. Making the children smile really warms your heart. And when you see them, you cant help but feel God's agape love towards all of us. How helpless and unworthy all of us are, but how willing he is to give. I guess all those that went to East Timor felt the same. This is one youth activity which I am really looking foward to, becoz of the impact we can have on these young hearts, talking about something meaningful...

wow, a week has past, a meaningful one rather. pretty fast, holidays are over, back to school, the habit of waking up early to take bus.exams are around the corner, for each and everyone of us, esp the secondary 4s.

i spend my week with the study group members(xw,samheng,gladys,tuck & joanna), hanging over at mcs, revising and rushing through our holiday assignments. i pretty much enjoy it, seriously. its like, we hardly do such things, where we conquer a few tables, studying, talking about anything, eating, laughing, sharing experiences with each other. the strong bonds as a youth group, the strong bonds as friends, the strong bonds as a church, i love it, what more could i ask for?

so i'll end here with a thankyou to all in region D, and again, thank you for the times.

"people come and go, but the true ones stay" how typical it sounds, but it also reminds us to treasure everyone doesn't it? it takes two hands to clap, so we've all come this far because everyone puts in a little effort here and there to have our hearts beat as one. beautiful it is, but while we are building these friendships all around, let's not forsake the forsakened. people judge and sometimes are prejudiced, what about the outcasts? people whom we forget and lose sight of. someone ever told me, the reason why visitors always come and go, and rarely do they stay. perhaps it is because people always remain in their cliques after just saying hi, then bidding goodbye. Like one of the services preached at edge, about us, not casting nets but washing and cleaning our own nets. people always have this mindset that believers ought not to sin and they should have been more "pure" than anyone elses, but the truth is often, we fall short. yet, we are forgiven if we confess. apart from all the fun and laughter we share, let's be pillars of support for one another, so that if one is going through the dry season in the desert of his spiritual life, we can stand together and help him through. And if faith wavers, we'd pray together as one.

Urgh. Huh? Help...

Sorry, I don't mean to complain but I am pretty angsty now (rwar!), I'm in another world, I can hear my brain buzzing. Heh. I really want to rest my red eyes, to not hear my mind think, to shut it down for a while, rejuvenate my pimples and sleeeeeep. But I can't... URGH! I hate Final Year Projects and I hate myself for bumming so much and now here I am rushing my ass off. I'm only half done, it is tuesday and I have yet to print my materials. Oh yea, friday is the dateline. Help.

Some tried to help but yea. If you can, it would be really nice if you slept 15hrs at least for me. Thanks. African sea coconut cough syrup would be nice too. My cough is killing me. Hahahhaah yes. Boom, die.

You want to know something special? I think I am really ageing. I remember when I was a hip hopping 16 year old dumb ass, I could stay up for a week with only 2hr sleeps a day. Now, I do a 3-5hr sleep each for 4days and I'm already feeeling dizzy and looking a droning zombie that got hit by a bus, the followed by a truck and a wheelchair. Once again, help. Someone give me back my youth. Or kill the freakin birds that chirp at 6.30 - 7am. Thankyouverymuch.

Hello everyone. I guess my days are numbered HAHA. Exams are coming and even if my parents dun ground me, I'll be grounded by the amount of work given to me. This holiday is like the last chance for me to be out ever again...till nov. Come to think of it, I feel really quite sad. The thought of not being able to be with this great group of friends for this long long long long long long long long 2 months is sinking my heart. *tears*
After youth service and dinner and playground and reading XW's blog, I got this urge to blog. XW's blog is a real tear jerker haha. I just wanna mention some people who've made a great impact on my life lately.

Firstly, thank u XW for your msg to reaffirm our friendship and that I was never forgotten. =) Thanks XW you are really like Xiao Wei in the Xiao Wei song. Er yeah -.-" You are always so sweet and nice and you've influenced me greatly with your smilies. Somehow, I've always believed that you taught me how to smile. *leading by example* wahah. Thank You! =)

Next on the list is Kevin! Wahaha Kevin you've tried really hard to make me talk and you've succeeded haha. You remind me of Jinguo during the "inviting Jesus into your heart" part with your little nudges... haha. You two are veh funny =) Thanks for widening my horizon with your little discussion with me. I've learnt alot and discovered alot, things i nv knew. Thank you! Driving and talking at the same time is dangerous. I am scared :P

hello there again.
i decided to post once more,
because i want to introduce you people,
to my fellow playmates.
Alexia, Franchestca and my sister, Jolin.

almost everyday, Alexia and Fran will come over to our place to play with us.
Sometimes we play "family", sometimes we play "toot toot train", sometimes we play with Kimberly's barbie dolls. But today we decided to play with my brother's caps.
and Gary and Cecilina joined us too. It was quite fun actually. I actually enjoyed it. Cecilina, well, she tried to be PUNKilina (brosoh created that nickname). and Gary tried to look cool. I tried to act cute, but I failed. Brothersoh said I look like a ice-kachang, with the pink winter cap on. I love my playmates.
Oh and yes, I love PUNKilina and Gari too.

Dear RegionD

As you people know, I have just returned back to church only recently and this was only made possible with my sister's faithful prayers and God's unconditional grace. He couldn't have picked a better time, and a better region for me. Really.

Before, I felt really left out due to the age gap between me and the majority of the region's youths and so, in my desperation, I hung out with my sister's 'princess gang.' I did feel kinda pathetic. And I shall confess, I had a serious talk with God about this issue (I needed friends *sniff* hahahaha) and surely enough, He opened up doors and I managed to rekindle old friendships and at the same time, make many new ones.

Region D is a vibrant place with loads of characters. We have sharp screamers, ex-bengs, dancers, 'darlings', quiet types, not-at-all quiet types, blur sotongs, hyperactive squirrels, naggers, drama mamas, youtube consultants, make up experts, story tellers, divas, huggers, singers, come-back queens, football fanatics, loud bloggers, $1 bubble tea promoters, crazy spinners, lazy lumps, crazy...... aiyah really got a lot la, I'm sure you get my point.

I'll try not to get overly mushy about this: I would like to take this chance and thank you RegionD peeps for making my Shawn-life 'Soh' loud, 'Soh' warm and 'Soh' colorful (and a few years younger). Out of the 754,513,468,484 people in the world, I felt God picked out the perfect people to complete this region; it's a blessing to know everyone of you.
